Deaf Club is important to deaf communities as it is a space where deaf and hard of hearing people can meet to share knowledge, ideas, experiences, and develop social connections.
The Deaf Club offers the opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing people to reunite long lost friends; meet deaf and hard of hearing people with similar interests; and to develop self-confidence, identity, and other social skills.
The Deaf Club is vital for deaf and hard of hearing people’s mental well-being because it allows them to share their similar experiences in a safe and relaxed environment.
It is open only to deaf, hard of hearing people, CODAs, hearing partners and hearing parents of deaf children and adults.
